Scope and controller
Teknoberg Limited is responsible for personal information handled through this website and related enquiries. It is registered in Nigeria with registration number RC 1381666. This Privacy Policy explains the information we handle, why we handle it, the choices available to you and how to contact us.

02
Information we handle
Information you choose to provide
When you contact us by email, telephone or another direct channel, we may receive your name, contact details, organisation, project requirements and the content of your message. The enquiry experience on this website opens your own email application; calculator entries are not sent to Teknoberg through the calculator.
Website preferences and technical information
We store your consent choice in your browser so that we can respect it. If you allow functional preferences, we may also remember when you dismiss the solar-planning invitation. Your browser and hosting provider may process standard technical information, including IP address, browser type, requested page and time of access, to deliver and secure the website.
03
Solar calculator privacy
The solar calculator is designed to work in the browser. Appliance entries, usage assumptions and the planning result remain in the active browser session unless you choose to share them yourself. Teknoberg does not receive those calculator entries through the tool.
04
Why we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential projects, provide requested information, protect the website, maintain records, meet legal obligations and improve our service operations. We rely on consent where it is required, on steps taken at your request before an engagement, on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, and on legal obligations where applicable.
We do not sell personal information or use it for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
05
Cookies, browser storage and privacy choices
This website uses essential browser storage to keep a record of your privacy choice and secure the consent experience. Functional preference storage, analytics measurement and the external map are optional. They remain off unless you select them through the consent banner or the Privacy choices control in the footer.
You may reject optional technologies, change your selection or withdraw optional consent at any time through Privacy choices. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before you changed your selection.
06
External map
The store locator uses OpenStreetMap only after you choose to load the map. When it loads, OpenStreetMap receives ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details. You can use the written address and telephone number without loading the map.
07
Analytics measurement
If you allow analytics measurement, this website uses Google Analytics, a service operated by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors move between pages, and what browser or device is used. Google stores a pseudonymous identifier in cookies (such as the _ga cookie) in your browser for this purpose.
We enable IP anonymisation in Google Analytics and disable Google Signals and advertising personalisation signals, so the measurement is not used for advertising profiles or cross-site tracking. Google processes analytics data on our behalf and may operate from locations outside Nigeria; Google's own privacy disclosures also apply, and you can review or control part of this activity through Google's settings.
Analytics measurement is off unless you allow it, and you can withdraw it at any time through Privacy choices. Withdrawing it stops further analytics collection in your browser; it does not undo collection that already happened under your earlier choice.
08
Training application form
The training enrolment form on the solar education page is processed directly by this website. When you submit it, your personal, contact and education details are sent to our server and forwarded to Teknoberg by email so that we can respond to your training enquiry. The form is not hosted by a third-party processor outside Nigeria. We do not keep a copy of your submission on the website server after the email is forwarded.
We use submitted details to administer training applications and related communications. You can ask us to correct or delete your details using the contact details in this policy.
10
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to an enquiry, managing a business relationship, protecting our rights, resolving disputes and meeting legal or professional record-keeping duties. Training-application details are retained as part of Teknoberg's business records. Browser preferences remain on your device until you change them or clear your browser storage.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use appropriate care when sharing information online. If we become aware of a security incident that is likely to result in significant risk to individuals, we will take reasonable steps to contain it and will notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and affected individuals where the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires notification.
11
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, request restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request portability where applicable and ask for information about how your data is handled. To make a request, use the contact details in this policy and provide enough information for us to identify your request safely.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you are concerned about how your personal information has been handled.
12
Children
This website is intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation, please contact us so that we can review the matter.
13
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated. Where a change requires a fresh choice, we will ask for it rather than relying on silence.
